In second place were Mohd Ridhuanizam Ramli and Wan Norhidayu Wan Mohd from Terengganu. They won RM7,000 cash, RM30,000 in jewellery and RM20,000 in home equipment.

In third place were Mohd Hazlami Mohd Jelani (Alam) and Norhafizah Abd Rahman (Fiza) from Kuala Lumpur who won RM5,000 cash, RM11,000 in jewellery and RM5,000 in home equipment.

Aired live on TV9 from Putrajaya International Convention Centre, (PICC), the finale was the culmination of the second season of Cari Menantu, which aired every Saturday from Jan 12.

Among the performers for the finale yesterday were Misha Omar, golden couple Hail Amir and Uji Rashid, and nasyid group Hijjaz.

Also present were Media Prima Bhd chairman Datuk Abdul Mutalib Hassan and TV9 chief operating officer Bukhari Che Muda.

The show, aimed at guiding couples to long-lasting wedded bliss, was a collaboration between TV9 and the Women, Family and Community Development and the National Population Ministry and Family Development Board (LPPKN).

Couples participating in Cari Menantu were guided through the episodes based on the modules from SmartStart, a book produced by LPPKN. Couples are then put in situations that test their emotional make-up, as well as financial and legal savvy.
