SHE is young, sweet and talented. The lovely Nabila Huda Suhaimi, who is the daughter of rock legend Amy Search, let the cat out of the bag about her wedding plans at her father’s surprise 50th birthday bash in Kuala Lumpur last Sunday.

She will be tying the knot with Zaidi Zailani, 27, who hails from Klang on Dec 6. The akad nikah ceremony will be held at a yet-to-be-confirmed venue in KL.

According to a beaming Nabila, they met in 2000 after they were introduced by her best friend. They got on well but since she was busy with her acting career, her romance had to take a back seat.

“He is a shy guy and very unassuming. He’s sporting too,” said the 24-year-old Nabila, who was all smiles as she spoke about him.

“I spent a lot of time reassessing my life. It hasn’t been easy for me especially after I had to deal with the bad Press for the last couple of years,” she added.

The past years, critics had labelled Nabila as being “notorious” but she brushes it aside and said that it was all part of the growing up process.

She claims that it hasn’t affected her career or her relationship with her father.

“Zaidi is the right person for me. He has everything I look for in a man. I’m ready and excited to embark on this new phase in my life,” she said, adding that Zaidy was first introduced to Amy last month.

Amy is equally excited. Looking radiant and fresh, Amy who turned 50 on Monday said that all he prays for is Nabila’s happiness.

When met after the party, Amy said he is happy and gets along well with his future son-in-law.

“I am not fussy and she can choose whomever she wants to spend her life with. I’m very excited for her. He seems like a nice guy to me,” said the rocker.

LAST week, TV-and-film actor/producer Hans Isaac was surprised by an online gossip column linking him to model-turned-actress, Carmen Soo.

Based on a SMS he sent to this column, Hans expressed his intention to “clear the air”. He wrote that the photograph posted of both of them was taken at the 20th Malaysian Film Festival in Penang last year.

It was also brought up during a popular variety talkshow last week.

According to Hans, the rumour is “baseless” and “malicious”.

“Let me clear the air. I’m not seeing anyone at the moment but this will all change when I find the right person… lah. But let it be known that I’m not exactly looking right now.”

Hans has been previously romantically linked with another beauty, an award-winning model-turned-actress.
