IT’S our 51st National Day this Sunday and there are some interesting programmes to look out for.
Samantha Schubert stars in The Red Kebaya on RTM1, 8.45pm tomorrow.
On the eve of Merdeka, catch Ambang Merdeka live on RTM1 and RTM2 at 10.30pm and 9.15pm respectively.
The show will be telecast live from three locations - Dataran Merdeka, Bukit Bintang dan KLCC.
Kumpulan Raihan, Jefrydin, Winnie Kok, Estranged, Kumpulan Rabbani, Ahmad Jais, Stacey, Meet Uncle Hussain, Datuk Siti Nurhaliza, Mawi, Karen Kong, Andre Goh, Manivanam, Tofa and Helmy The Gimmick will be performing.
A Merdeka special documentary called My Way will be aired on ntv7 tomorrow at 1.30pm. This half-an-hour programme takes you to all the historical places in the country.

This movie is about Latiff, a famous but lonely photographer who sets out on an expedition to photograph abandoned houses around Malaysia.
On his journey he is haunted by images and sounds that remind him of his traumatic childhood.
The movie stars Vanidah Imran, Ramli Hassan, Bob Mercer, Samantha Schubert, Zahim Albakri, Sabera Shaik, Fauziah Nawi and Elaine Daly.
On Sunday, catch the National Day Parade live from Dataran Merdeka over RTM1, ntv7 and 8TV at 7.30am.
Music fans can catch The 35th Annual American Music Awards 2007 on Sunday at 11.15pm over 8TV.
The show, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, features celebrity presenters and performances by Alicia Keys, Avril Lavigne, Celine Dion, Daughtry, Fergie and lots more.

Sia and Raj’s professional friendship blossoms into love and they get married. Trouble starts when Sia’s twin sister, Ria, comes into their life and starts to take a liking for her brother-in-law. Starring Neha Dhupia, Sonu Sood and Elidh MacQueen.
Death Note (Japanese movie) (8TV, 8.30pm)
Yagami is an intelligent man who resents crime and corruption. His life undergoes a drastic change when he discovers a mysterious notebook known as the “Death Note” lying on the ground. The “Death Note” claims that whoever’s name is written in it will die. Starring Erika Toda, Ken’ichi, Tatsuya Fujiwara and Asaka Seto.
Suara Saleha (Malay movie) (TV3, 10pm)
Saleha, a widow who lives with her mother and her sister Radiah, gets by selling nasi lemak. Her mother is senile and Radiah works as a GRO. To make matters worse, Saleha’s family matters are the target of the village gossips. Starring Ogy Ahmad Daud, Fauziah Nawi and Raja Azura.

Mazhai (Tamil movie) (RTM2, 12.30pm)
Arjun, an unemployed youngster, and Deva, a powerful don, are in love with Sailaja. Arjun keeps bumping into Sailaja every time it rains. This makes them both feel that it is perhaps the rain that keeps bringing them together, and they start to fall in love. Deva, on the other hand, makes use of her father to get close to her. Starring Jayam Ravi, Shriya and Rahul Dev.
Yours, Mine & Ours (English movie) (RTM2, 3pm)
A Coast Guard Admiral and a handbag designer fall in love and marry, much to the dismay of her 10 and his eight children. When both families move into a new house, they struggle to stay as one family. Starring Dennis Quaid, Rene Russo, Sean Faris, Katija Pevec and Dean Collins.
